Martha Lewicka
Artist | Professional | Photography
Norway
My name is Martha Lewicka and I am an editorial, music and portrait photographer based in Oslo, Norway. I have been working with photography since 1997, first as a hobby, then as staff photographer, finally opening my own company in 2008.

I have a diverse photographic background, from abstract, advertising, portrait and landscape to photojournalism. That diversity has become very prominent feature in my work.

Visual creativity and its use to help people find inspiration is what makes my heart go "thump, thump". And I have made it my life’s goal to translate that inspiration into my photographs and the way I work.

My style is neat, simple and straightforward. My greatest talent as a photographer is the ability to adapt easily to varied circumstances and people from diverse backgrounds.

I grew up in Gdansk, Poland, where I received an advertising animation degree in 2004 and where I was previously working in advertising field.

I have a diverse photographic background, from abstract to photojournalism, and that diversity has become very prominent feature in my work. I continue to explore new fields of photography, as well as mastering new techniques.

Interests
I was considering for a while what kind of software to buy to make my digital work flow easier and more effective. So after testing various software and figuring out how it can all work together, I came up with my almost perfect (nothing is perfect) digital work flow software. I though I will share.

:bulletblue: Aperture - for organizing photos, developing RAW format and use of all plug ins/external editors from there..

:bulletblue: Adobe Photoshop CS4 - my default external image editor, though since i got Nik Software plug ins I rarely open it :)

:bulletblue: Nik Software Complete Colection for Aperture and PS - for color correction and b/w conversion, sharpening and noise reduction.

:bulletblue: Totally Rad Photoshop Actions - for some pop effects. I use only some of them, and usually in very small amount.

Next thing to buy on my list is Plug-In Suite 5 from OnOne software, mostly for the plug ins for resizing images, masking background and focus selection.

Now I wonder what you use to make your pictures pop and how you deal with your work flow.
